An olympic torch is lit and travels around Greece and then it goes to the country where the games will be taken place every four years.
In 1894, the games were resurrected and the international olympic committee was formed.The olympic games have taken place every four years since.
New Zealand competes in swimming and in the boys swimming the New Zealand boy came second. Another athlete from New Zealand was throwing heavy metal balls called a shot put and he did really well. I hope we earn more medals before the games finish.
Great summary about the Olympics Hunter. I hope we win a few more medals too. Maybe K4 Kayaking, Cycling and Golf…

The Olympics have been interesting to watch and learn about, haven't they? Which sport did you enjoy following? The rowing was exciting to watch and the diving because of how good their timing had to be I thought.
What did you find most interesting? I thought it was interesting that they changed who was allowed to compete during the ancient Greek Olympics.
